We try to the best of our ability to describe items and there condition accurately. If you see any item and disagree with the description, or know something we don't then contact us and we'll be happy to discuss it with you.

The way our systems store data stops us from putting commas in the descriptions so please excuse any grammar and punctuation.

We may list items in different categories twice if they cross over categories.

Although the database is updated daily with new items being added and sold items being removed, there is the possibilty that between a sale and the removal of the sold item from our database, more than one customer could have placed an order on our website for it. In these circumstances Antiques of England will honour the first order and will contact all parties advising that this is case.

All additional pictures appear one at a time in a single new window.

Up to four additional pictures are available for each item and we try to take them in a way that highlights special markings and as much detail as possible. For some items fewer pictures will be needed to do this, work your way up from 1 until you reach the message that you have reached the end of the set.

The purchasing process is as follows: -

• When you have chosen and placed an order for item(s) from our website an automatic acknowledgment of receipt of that order will be sent to your specified email address.
• We will contact you typically within one working day with final costs for shipment to the address you specify which include all packaging, surcharges and conversion fees (where relevent). You will be advised how to make payment by whichever method you chose on the order form (as long as it is accepted by our company policies on payment).
• When we have received payments and where applicable that payment has cleared, we will ship on the next working day.
• Shipping confirmation will be sent to you along with a code to track progress of delivery when that type of service is available.

Our guarantee and returns policy is as follows: -

• On receipt of the goods purchased from this site, the customer has 7 days from the date of delivery in which to inspect the goods and raise a request for return if not completely satisfied with them.
• We do not accept items returned without the customer first making an arrangement with us to do so and getting an acknowledgment from us to do so.
• The buyer is responsible for all postage costs.
• Returned items must be in the same condition as when they were sent with appropriate insurance to cover postal loss or damage.
• Damage to returned items that wasn't previously stated by the buyer in prior communications will be treated as return postal damage and as such the responsibilty for any claim will be solely with the buyer, we will assist you in any way we can with verifying a claim with the shipping agent.
• Any customer substituting an item sent to them for one that is similar but not the same forfeits any right to a return refund.
• Items sold on ebay are not covered by the 7 day returns guarantee.
